Date : 09/04/25

Time: 13:30-14:30

Location: Online

This 1 hour session will go through Perinatal Mental Illness in primary care.

We will discuss what this is, how common it is and ways to try and identify who may be at risk by any member of staff from the primary care team. We will also look at ways to refer the patient into the appropriate services and also look at prescribing.

What people feel is safe to do and what actually is safe to prescribe or stop.

What will I learn?

- Improve your confidence in detecting, assessing and managing perinatal mental illness.

- Connect with multidisciplinary primary care staff with a shared interest.

- Evaluate your local care pathways for PNMI and find support to plan service improvements.
